Mission
The Department of Turkish Language and Literature aims firstly to educate the scientists who specialize the place of Turkish language and literature in world languages and literatures and who evaluate not only the development of literature from beginning to present but also the works of literature. Besides, our department aims to educate teachers with the competence to train and to investigate the contributions of Turkish language and literature to universal science, culture and art. Finally, being an original department with interdisciplinary training can be considered one of our purposes.
Vision
The vision of our department is to examine, protect and develop our language, culture and literature based on the consciousness of being a nation and to introduce it to the next generations and to the contemporary world.
